Every comment is checked. Nothing is rewritten.

Who is on the list

Only people with a public role: elected or appointed officials, heads of large companies, people in public professions, and official representatives of organisations. Each addition is a separate decision, backed by sources we find ourselves.

Two kinds of comments

A moderator labels every published comment, so you always know what you’re reading:

• An opinion is the author’s view. It isn’t checked for truth.
• A statement of fact is published only with a source you can open: a court ruling, an official document, or a report by an independent outlet.

Moderation

• Everything is checked before it appears: comments, replies and images.
• Moderators never edit what you write. A comment is either published as it is, or rejected with a stated reason.
• Some reasons let you fix the comment and send it again. Others, such as personal data or threats, don’t.
• Every decision is recorded.

Threads

You can reply to any comment. Replies are comments too: they go through the same moderation and appear in the thread under the comment that started it.

Your privacy

• Only your pseudonym is shown. Your email stays private.
• Images are cleaned before they’re stored: hidden data, including where a photo was taken, is removed.
• Until something is published, only you and the moderators can see it.

If a page is about you

• You can appeal a single comment from the link under it.
• You can ask for the whole page to be removed. Once we confirm the request is yours, the page and all its comments are deleted within 7 days, permanently.
